Enjoy historic Camp Hale on a backcountry guided hiking tour. Hikes vary in length from one to three hours depending upon your interests and ability level. Our hiking trips are customized for our guests and are conducted over varied terrain to accommodate different levels from beginner to advanced hiking trails. We have hiking trails that run through the valley flats as well as steeper hiking trails if you're looking to break a sweat. We have lots of Colorado hiking trails to choose from and no matter what type of hiking trip you choose, they're all sure to provide some excellent scenery and some of the best hikes around the area.
For our Camp Hale hikes, we will leave from our back door and tour the national Historic Site of Camp Hale, visiting the interpretive signs and crossing the bridge over the Eagle River, then loop back to the Lodge at Camp Hale. This is one of the best hikes if you're looking to soak in a little history and scenery without soaking in sweat.

This trip leaves our lodge and ventures into the White River National Forest. We hike up Resolution Road to the Pearl Creek hiking trails intersection, at which point we access some old hiking trails on the west side of Resolution Creek. This trail follows the creek back toward Camp Hale and gently climbs to a scenic overlook encompassing views of the historic site of Camp Hale.
We will start at the main entrance to Camp Hale, accessing Yoder Gulch on the west side of Highway 24. This trip is an uphill climb to an elevation of about 10,500 feet - true mountain hiking. Keep your eyes open for wildlife!
