Top of the Rockies Snowmobile Tour

For the ultimate snowmobile experience we offer a half-day and full-day excursion at our primary Camp Hale location. Our most popular tours, the Top of the Rockies tours include endless miles of open meadows and spectacular 360-degree panoramic views of four surrounding mountain ranges including the Continental Divide. Operating our tours in the White River National Forest at Historic Camp Hale, we reach elevations of 12,500 feet on the largest commercial snowmobile trail system in the Vail and Beaver Creek area.

 

All guided snowmobiling tours include door-to-door transportation, a professional guide, 2012 model Ski-Doo snowmobile, snowsuit, boots and helmet. The morning half-day tour and full-day snowmobile tours include lunch while the afternoon half-day snowmobile tour includes a hot beverage.

We have a brand new fleet of 2012 Ski-Doo snowmobiles for our Top of the Rockies tours.  As a single rider, enjoy the power of the four-stroke MXZ Sport 600.  If you are doubling up, ride in comfort and enjoy heated handle grips for both the driver and passenger with the four-stroke Grand Touring Sport 600. 

Reservations required.  Ages 14 and older can drive their own snowmobile and we recommend passengers to be 5 years or older.

Tigiwon Snowmobile Tours

Tigiwon offers one-hour and two-hour snowmobiling tours on more than 50 miles of groomed trails in the White River National Forest. Starting at 8,000 feet from our base location just outside of Vail, our trails wind to a maximum elevation of 10,500 feet. Enjoy a hot beverage along the way as we take a pit-stop at our warming station.  Soak in some spectacular views of Vail's Back Bowls, Notch Mountain, and four surrounding mountain ranges. We definitely encourage the use of your camera!

Our new, 2012 Polaris snowmobiles are fully automatic and easy to operate. Our two-hour trips include door-to-door transportation, professional guide, snowmobile, snowsuit, boots, helmet, and a hot beverage mid-way at the warming hut. The one-hour snowmobile tour includes transportation, professional guide, snowmobile, snowsuit, boots, and helmet. Children must be 14 years or older to drive their own snowmobile and children as young as two years old can ride as a passenger. Trips operate seven days a week, reservations are required. Please bring a warm hat, gloves, sunglasses or goggles, and your camera!

High Performance Snowmobile Tours

This trip is for the experienced rider who wants more adventure. This full-day or half-day snowmobile tour at historic Camp Hale offers high performance, two-stroke Polaris 600cc paddle track machines. You will experience miles of terrain, powder fields and beautiful scenery at 12,500 feet. If you are looking for the ultimate ride, this is the one!

All tours include door-to-door transportation, a professional guide, high performance snowmobile, snowsuit, boots and helmet. The morning half-day tour and full-day snowmobile tours include lunch while the afternoon half-day tour includes a hot beverage. Morning half-day tour picks up at 8:30 am daily, afternoon half-day picks up at 12:30 pm, full-day tour pick up at 8:30 am, seven days per week. Advanced reservations are required.  Participants must be 16 years or older.
